Before proceeding with the construction of terrazzo floors, preparations should be made, including the necessary cement, sand, copper bars, pigments, and other materials.
The requirements for these materials are also very strict, usually using Portland cement or Portland cement of grade 425 or above; The content of soil in sand should be controlled below 3%; The stones should be high-quality marble stones, and the size should be mixed according to the proportion used. The ground construction process of terrazzo generally involves laying the base layer, making ash cakes, leveling the flat layer, making partition strips, applying stone slurry, adding slurry, and polishing. These sequences are very important and cannot be reversed. And after the construction is completed, quality inspection is also required, mainly to check whether the surface of the terrazzo is smooth and whether there are any gaps or other issues.
If terrazzo needs to be stored first, it can be stacked horizontally. The storage ground must be flat, and the height of the stack should be less than 1.4 meters to ensure that the terrazzo does not collapse. It is also recommended to store indoors as much as possible to avoid exposure to sunlight and rain.
