Artificial stone is a synthetic decorative material. According to the different binders used, they can be divided into two categories: organic artificial stone and inorganic artificial stone. According to the different production processes, it can be divided into four types: polyester artificial marble, composite artificial marble, silicate artificial marble, and sintered artificial marble.
Among the four types of artificial stone decorative materials, organic type (polyester type) is the most commonly used, and its physical and chemical properties are also the best.
Marble is a high-end decorative material that must be carefully selected to avoid wasting money. The quality of marble appearance can be identified from the following aspects.
(1) Determine the color tone of the pattern under sufficient lighting conditions. Place the selected board and other marble boards to be purchased in the same batch on the ground at the same time, and stand at a distance of 1.5m from them for careful visual inspection. It is required that the patterns and tones of the same batch of marble panels should be basically harmonious.
(2) Check for surface defects. Under sufficient light conditions, place the board flat on the ground and stand at a distance of 1m from the marble board to observe any invisible defects. It is considered that there are no defects; Defects that are visible at a distance of 1m from the board but not obvious at a distance of 1.5m are considered as no obvious defects; The visible defects standing at a distance of 1.5m from the board are considered defective. The specific observed defects include warping of the board; Whether there are cracks, sand holes, discolored spots, stains, and dents on the surface of the board. If it is determined that the above defects are not present, the board is considered an excellent product, and there should be no missing edges or corners on the front of the board; If the above defects are not obvious and there are no obvious missing edges or corners, then this board can be considered as a first-class product; If there are several defects that do not affect the use, and there is only one length on the front of the board that is not more than 8mm, and the width is not more than 3mm with missing edges or edges that are not more than 3mm in length and width, then the board can be judged as qualified. If the board is damaged during transportation and loading/unloading, it can be bonded (for cracked boards) or repaired (for edge defects, surface pits or pits). However, after bonding and repairing, there should be no obvious marks on the front, and the color should be similar to the design on the front.
(3) The order of marking marble panels is: naming, classification, specifications, sizes, grades, and the standard marble panel naming order is: place name of the raw material origin, color and pattern feature name, and marble (code M). Marble panels can be divided into two categories: regular panels (code N): square or rectangular panels; Irregular plate (code S): refers to a plate of other shapes. There are three levels of marble board: excellent product (code A), first-class product (code B), and qualified product (code C). The classification of grades is based on the allowable deviation of the specifications and dimensions of the board, the allowable limit tolerance of flatness, the allowable limit tolerance of angle, the appearance quality, and the mirror glossiness
